3-day Stopping Diabetes Program

    3-day Stopping Diabetes Program

We took the most important concepts of the 12-day Stopping Diabetes Program and packaged them in an intensely concise 3-day format. We’ve lost the value of putting your lifestyle into practice for 12 days before you go home, but we’ve kept the integrity of the principles behind our flagship program intact. The plus is that you get to the bottom of why your diabetes is progressing and what you can do right now to stop and perhaps even reverse it in just 72 hours. Since the program is only 3 days long, we only accept clients with type 2 diabetes. Our 12 day Stopping Diabetes Program accepts clients with type 1 diabetes.

The program centers around a tailor fit plan. A plan designed by our physician based on your blood work laboratory results. Finding out why you have diabetes and where your diabetes is right now is only the beginning.

The fitness trainer and nutritionist, provide you with tools that will make your stopping diabetes plan work. Basic nutrition principles train you to learn how to make better food choices at restaurants and prepare more diabetic friendly meals at home. The fitness trainer creates a fitness routine based on your current fitness level that will not only help you drop the pounds, but help control your blood sugars.

Another powerful ingredient of the 3 day program is the behavioral health coaching. Together with our behaviorist, you will learn how to shut down sabotaging thoughts and actions, and instead cling to behaviors that will help you stop diabetes before it stops you. By answering the question, “Good health for what? you will learn your motivating factors that will keep working hard even when the going gets tough.

Our 3 day stopping diabetes program. Short and to the point. The beginning to your lifestyle change now easily fits into one weekend.

    How much does it cost?

The cost for the 3-day stopping diabetes program is $ 1820 ($ 1487 if you have Medicare).

Accommodations are billed separately. If you choose to stay at the Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa, where the program is held, accommodations are an additional $ 578 for 3 nights. You may choose to stay at any other hotel in the area. The program takes place on the Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa campus.

Does my insurance cover any of the program?

It has been our experience that insurance companies reimburse the medical component only - physician visits, blood tests, etc. Most clients spend $ 495 ($ 162 if you have Medicare) of the program cost on medical services. But your actual insurance coverage varies on your insurance plan and "out-of-network" policies. If you have Medicare, your lab services will be billed directly to Medicare by a diagnostic lab, not Lifestyle Center of America. Whatever Medicare does not cover will be billed directly to you by the diagnostic laboratory.

    How do I register?

Program specialists are available Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, CST.

    More About the Program

    More About Activities

Medical Services — Dr. Stuart Seale has two appointments with you during your stay. The first appointment is focused on narrowing down the root cause of your diabetes. Some may not be aware, but there’s usually one of three reasons why someone has diabetes- or a combination of the three. Together, you will find out which case applies to you. Once you determine the cause, the proper medication (if any is needed at all) for your case can be determined. Most diabetes patients we’ve seen have never had their diabetes analyzed in such a way.

    • A health history review with the physician will establish the most effective starting point for you
    • A small group medical visit with the physician will focus on understanding your current diabetes situation and what you can do to begin the process of stopping diabetes and perhaps even turning it around. The group atmosphere provides insights that other clients have expressed would have never come up in just a one on one with the physician.
    Laboratory Services

The following laboratory services are included in your medical evaluation

    • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel - a measure of several blood. "chemistries", including blood sugar, electrolytes, kidney and liver function
    • Hemogloblin A1c - this is a measurement of the average blood sugar reading over the previous three month period of time, and is a relative indicator of overall blood sugar control. The higher the level, the greater the risk of diabetic complications.
    • Serum insulin level - when analyzed along with the corresponding fasting blood sugar, the degree of insulin resistance in the body can be determined.
    • Lipid profile - measures total cholesterol, "good" and "bad" cholesterol, as well as the cardiovascular "risk ratio" which helps to estimate the risk of heart attack.
    Nutritional Therapy

It is said that “You are what you eat and a huge component of lifestyle medicine is suitable nutrition.
